Have you found that sometimes without a challenge or a really specific goal you just don’t make the progress you’re after?

I’m not sure if it’s just my personality but I know for me I achieve amazing things when I have a specific goal to work towards. It gives me the motivation to keep going when I can’t be bothered and I’ve learnt from experience that when you just chip away at something the end result can be pretty amazing.

So for me it’s been a while since I’ve REALLY committed to something and I’m ready! It’s most probably the worst time in my life to do it but I don’t care and it’s not going to stop me. My life is crazy right now, both personally and with my business but the reality is there is never going to be a perfect time. So even though I have heaps of social events coming up, an expanding business and a very demanding 4 year old, I’m READY!

I’ve committed to the Maxine’s challenge and I’m so determined to finish this thing! I’ve started it halfheartedly before but didn’t even really give it a proper go. My head wasn’t into it and I think I lasted about three weeks and they weren’t even good ones! So what’s different this time you may ask?

I’d say the biggest thing is my mindset! I WANT to do this as I need to do something JUST FOR ME!!! I know how good it feels to set a goal and achieve it and I want to do that again. Will it be easy? No way! But I know it will be worth it.

So this time I’m telling everyone so I stay committed. No point hiding my goal when I know that accountability and support go a long way when trying to achieve some great results. I’m also going to KEEP GOING regardless of whether I have a bad day/week as it’s the consistency that pays off!

So today is day 1 and it was an average start after a very indulgent Birthday yesterday. I woke up super early after a restless sleep to take my Bootcamp session this morning and have struggled ever since.  Had already talked myself into treating today as my “rest” day and getting into it tomorrow, although after some tough love to myself I put on the gym gear and have completed my workout. My food is also on track and I’m feeling much better for it.

I know it’s going to be a tough journey but I’m ready to do this for me as it’s been so long since I’ve had my own little goal and something to work towards.

I’ll be blogging regularly as it’s something I used to love doing but stopped as I didn’t know what to write about anymore! So I’m back and I’ll be checking in regularly. I hope you enjoy following my journey!
