– Lose 10kg (5kg to reach pre-pregnancy weight)
– Lose 60cm from various sites
– Run 10km
– ENJOY THE JOURNEY, BE CONSISTENT, TRAIN HARD, EAT WELL BUT STILL ENJOY LIFE
Wow, I can’t believe I’m half way through my 12 Week Challenge. It
makes you realise that you really need to make every week count as they
go by really quickly. It’s also a good reminder that it’s worth putting
in that bit more effort as the time really does fly by. Half way down
and I’m still feeling a LONG way from where I want to be but at the same
time pretty motivated to give this last 6 weeks all I’ve got.
I thought I did pretty well last week and was consistent with both
my nutrition and training. I have realised that if I want to reach my
goals I’m going to have to start doing a bit more. So I’ve changed my
trainnig around and tightened up my nutrition even more.
As extra motivation I’m off to Thailand in 8 weeks so Braden can
meet his grandparents. So with only 8 weeks to go I want to make sure I
can enjoy the pool and feel comfy in bathers!
TRAINING LAST WEEK:
1 X 60 MINUTE JOG
1 X 50 MINUTE JOG
1 X 40 MINUTE JOG
1 X RPM CLASS
1 X 40 MINUTE SPIN BIKE SESSION
2 x WEIGHT SESSIONS

I’m pretty happy with my nutrition. I’ve really been controlling the
weekends a lot better and have been having a small treat rather than a
large treat meal. I have started keeping a food diary again as I’ve
noticed that I was starting to pick a bit and those extra almonds really
do add up!
WEIGHT LOSS: 700g – 6.2kg TO GO
LOST 4CM – 36.5CM TO GO
HARDEST THINGS SO FAR:
– Trying to enjoy the weekends without going overboard. I love
hanging with Cam having a couple of drinks and a nice meal but I also
know that it needs to be controlled if I want to reach my goals.
– Being realistic about my goals. This year I really wanted to do
the Gold Coast Marathon and had started training for it. Although I soon
realised it just isn’t going to happen. Not because of lack of
determination or commitmment but because I need to be realistic. Trying
to fit in 2-3 hour runs as my training progresses is REALLY challening
when I’m breastfeeding and limited as to when I can actually run
outside. I had to make the decision that this goal wasn’t going to
happen and instead focus on simply getting as fit and healthy as I
possibly can. (there’s always next year!)
– MY MIND!!! Fighting the thoughts that tell me to relax, that extra
cappucinno is ok and just one small bite won’t hurt!!! Why do we fight
what we want so much????
Anyway that’s it for another week. Here’s hoping for a sensatinal week this week and a nice drop in the scales.
