Yeah! I’ve finished my little challenge and I feel great. I’ve still got
a way to go before I feel fantastic but I’m pretty happy just to get
back into all my old clothes and feel fit and healthy.
As you can see I’ve posted my before and after pics and it’s pretty
scary!!! I cringe at my before pics although I suppose we all have to
start somewhere. I took these pictures 4 weeks after Braden was born and
was quite devastated to see the damage, although knowing I’ve got such
an amazing Son does make it worth it!
Over the past 12 weeks I’ve managed to lose over 9kg and 50cm from
various sites. Most importantly I’ve actually enjoyed the journey and it
didn’t feel like I missed out on anything.
My final week was pretty good. I really kept my nutrition clean and
as such noticed a big drop in the scale. I suppose the thought of taking
those final pics was enough to keep me on track. I also managed a
couple of great runs as I wanted to run another 10km and see how much
I’d improved on my 5km time.
TRAINING LAST WEEK:
1 x 10km
1 x 8km
1 x 5km
2 x Bike Sessions
1 x Weight Sessions.
WEIGHT LOSS FOR THE 12 WEEKS: 9.1KG
CM’S LOST FOR THE 12 WEEKS:50CM
MY GOALS FOR 12 WEEK POST BABY BLITZ CHALLENGE
– Lose 10kg (5kg to reach pre-pregnancy weight) – LOST 9.1KG
– Lose 60cm from various sites – LOST 50 CM
– Run 10km – DONE and managed it under 55 minutes.
– ENJOY THE JOURNEY, BE CONSISTENT, TRAIN HARD, EAT WELL BUT STILL
ENJOY LIFE – YES!!!! I can actually say that I did enjoy the journey. I
think the fact that I wasn’t super strict and did enjoy the process
might have stopped me from losing a bit more but I have discovered that
losing an extra kilo or two isn’t as important as enjoying the process
and still living life without feeling deprived!
So overall I’m back to normal although still got a few more kilos to
go before I can see my stomach returning to normal (it’s amazing what
having a baby does to your stomach!!!)
I am quite proud of myself for the fact that I regularly exercised
each week even when I had to do all my sessions at home with Braden in
So I’ve proven to myself that you can be a new Mum and still be fit
and healthy. Now I just need to set a few more challenges for myself and
see what i can achieve.
I hope everyone else is going great and have an exciting but
somewhat healthy Easter planned! (remember those Eggs are available all
year round so you don’t have to eat them all at once!)
Have a fabulous week.
