Thanks Rachael & Kate for giving me a hard time about my bragging, he, he!!

Yes, I have been bragging about my 2:20min jog and rightly so!
Never, ever in my wildest dreams did I ever think that I’d be able to
run for over two hours. Years ago I was a smoker who could barely run
for a minute without feeling my like my lungs were going to explode and
here I am years later training for a marathon.

One big thing I’ve learnt over the past few years and even more so
since working in the Health & Fitness Industry is that you should

If you do you are setting yourself up for dissapointment. No two
bodies are the same or are exposed to the same conditions so how can or
why would you want to compare yourself to others?

So at the moment I’m bragging about my long run, but I’m running so
bloody slowly that I’m sure some people could walk quicker than my jog,
but guess what? I don’t care!!! My personal goal is to run a Marathon
and raise some money toward finding a cure for MS. For sure I’d love to
finish the race before they start packing up the course but my main goal
is to simply finish the race knowing I gave it my best shot.

It still amazes me how women all want to know what other women weigh
or what size they are! Who cares! Do you feel good, look good, then
what’s a number?

If I compared my weight to others I’d get really down, I’m not one
of those light weights, if I even see a weight in the fifties I’m
looking really thin! Over the years the more weight training I do and
the better my body looks the more I tend to weigh! Sounds weird doesn’t
it, but obviously the more muscle you get the more you weigh but you
look so much better.

So if you are trying to get your best body ever, make sure IT’S YOUR
BEST BODY and you are not trying to be someone else. Work with what you
have got and do the best that YOU CAN!
