I am constantly amazed at all of the different excuses that people come up with to justify thier laziness and unhealthy state!
For some people a simple weekend away can lead them to put an end to
their healthy eating and exercise routine as it’s all just too hard.
It’s as if as soon as their routine is altered slightly then they just
can’t continue. If this is the case you will never make healthy living a
part of your daily life. If you truly want to feel great and implement
permanent lifestyle habits you need to be flexible!
of thinking it all has to be perfect just try and do the best you can
at every opportunity. You can go for a run or power walk anywhere, use
it as an opportunity to see the place you are visiting. Most hotels have
basic exercise and strength equipment and most towns have a gym. So there really
isn’t any reason you can’t stay fit and healthy while travelling.
I know from experience, I travel all the time and can always manage
to fit in some kind of workout. I actually love the opportunity to visit
other gyms, discover local running tracks and just get out and about.
Just last week I spend the week in Cairns, it was fantastic to run along
the Esplanade & try out all of the local gyms!
So next time you think that a weekend away needs to lead to an
unhealthy experience, think again! Use it as a time to try new exercises
and challenge yourself to find creative ways of keeping up your
