– Lose 10kg (5kg until I’m back and pre-pregnancy weight)
– Lose 60cm from various sites
– Run 10km
– ENJOY THE JOURNEY, BE CONSISTENT, TRAIN HARD, EAT WELL BUT STILL ENJOY THE PROCESS
So one week down and I’m pretty happy with the effort I’ve put in. I
did get a bit down about the scale this morning but had to remind
myself it’s just a number and I’d much prefer the measurements going
down than just a smaller number on the scale. It is annoying though as I
weighed myself in the middle of the week and I was an extra half kilo
lighter, just goes to show the scale isn’t really such a great measure
of success. So anyway rather than getting down about a number I used it
to get motivated and attended my first RPM class.
Cam, took Braden down the Esplanade so I could go to the class and
just my luck the little munchkin slept the whole time. Now how come he
won’t do that for Mum? Anyway I LOVED the class and felt like I hadn’t
missed a beat (although I could of handled a padded seat, those seats
are a bit hard when your not used to it!)
So one week down and I’ve done the following:
3 X WEIGHTS
1 X INTERVAL (running on the treadmill)
2 x 6KM JOGS
1 X 5KM JOG
1 X SPIN BIKE SESSION 25 MINS
4 X 5KM PRAM WALKS
All going pretty well, ended up having a few drinks on Australia day
and a few extras which could be why the scale went up although other
than that I’ve pretty much been on track. This week I’ll just have to
make sure that I don’t let any of those extras creep in and hopefully
rewarded with a bit more of a drop in the scale.
WEIGHT LOSS: 700g – 9.3KG TO GO
LOST 9.5CM – 50.5CM TO GO
JOGGING 6KM – 4KM TO GO
So far enjoying the process, not getting too caught up with the
small things and instead just trying to do the best I can each day.
Hardest things so far –
Not changing quickly enough, feeling like I’m putting in so much effort for little return.
Reminding myself to be patient and just KEEP GOING!
Trying to not get frustrated that my time is limited and that I have
to juggle things around when Braden is happy to play on his mat.
Worrying that an increase in exercise will affect my breastfeeding.
It seems ok so far and Braden put on 240g this week which is on track!
So one week down and 11 to go!
