As some of you know, last year and this year have been a real challenge for me.

Last year, just when COVID hit, my mother in-law was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and just 4 months later we lost our beautiful Marilyn. At the same, time COVID lockdowns were in place and life was challenging to say the least.

Then this year, just when we felt like our family and life was starting to return to normal, I was told I had Breast Cancer. At the time it was a bit like, ok we got through last year, this isn’t as bad, we can do this….. and we have been doing just that.

My Hospital Stay

Since February, I’ve had constant hospital appointments, undergone a mastectomy and partial reconstruction, and continuing on the journey.  Plus thrown in with that, we’ve been growing a new business, I got offered some extra work mentoring other businesses, and trying to keep life as ‘normal’ as possible for Braden.

It’s been full on and I’ve coped, but let’s just say my health hasn’t been ideal.

 Getting through all of the hospital appointments and trying to remain as positive as possible has meant some things got a bit left behind. My usual healthy eating has been all over the place, two days great, followed by a few days of hunting down chocolate. Exercise has been about the same, I try and get back into it but then I let work and other things take over…

So here I am feeling PROUD, I’m surviving but also realising it’s time for ME AGAIN. I’m committing to a couple of things to help me get myself back on track and want to help you too...

I have chosen to Give it Up for Breast Cancer.  I’m taking part in the Give It Up challenge and am challenging myself to go without SUGAR for one month. Anyone who knows me well knows that this will be a big challenge.

I’ve been going through the Breast Cancer Journey myself and the amount of support I’ve recieved has been amazing. I’d like to GIVE SOME BACK now and am using my MID YEAR RESET to raise money for Breast Cancer research.

Not only will you be donating to a great cause, you’re going to get fitter and healthier in just 30 days! 

For 30 days, I’m going to GET UP and make sure I include some form of exercise each day.  

If you join our MID YEAR RESET, you will be committing to 30 Days of Getting Up and moving. Yep, that means some form of exercise EVERY DAY for 30 days. 

For anyone jumping on board the MID YEAR RESET, all money will go straight back to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

GET UP

Every day for 30 days you will commit to MOVING MORE, including some form of exercise or activity. It doesn't need to be something hard every day but you are going to GET UP & MOVE MORE. 

GIVE BACK

By making a donation of $30 to the National Breast Cancer foundation, you will be GIVING BACK plus I'll be GIVING YOU:
