Amy 12 Week Body Transformation Success Story

What was your goal when you originally signed up?

The main goal I was focusing on was to lose 10kg.

Why was this important?

I wanted to lose 10kg because i knew i was very unhappy with my body, and i wanted to feel amazing in my own skin again. I wanted to look in the mirror and say wow you can do anything when you put your mind to it. 

How long had you had this goal?

 For 2 years. I was non-stop looking for diet plans, exercise plans, challenges. All those 3 never worked as I always gave up after 2 weeks. 

What were the top 1-2 things that held you back from achieving your goal?

Motivation is a massive one for me, as i come from a competitive swimming background I always had a coach coaching me 5 times a week expecting me to be there every session. So, finding a coach who believes in me and motivates to try harder was really hard to find after I stopped swimming when i was 18 years old. It’s really hard to get out of bed in the morning knowing no one is going to train me, so I love a coach who will determine me to be the best I can be. Once Ii found Hilde and Cam I loved coming to bootcamp and it just makes it easier to exercise when you love going to the environment of bootcamp. 

Diet is also a massive one for me. I struggle to stay away from the sweets as I have a partner who loves sweet things. So, it’s quite hard laying in bed at night watching a movie when your other half is snacking on chocolate and your just having a bottle of water haha.

But, just myself I love to eat food!!! 

What had you tried to get to your goal before?

I tried F45, multiple diet plans, keto and online fitness challenges. 

How did you originally hear about us?

My mum previously did bootcamp and did a challenge called ‘Sexy Back’ with Hilde. Also we use to be neighbours years ago!

What originally prompted you to seek us out?

My mum’s weightloss and fitness that she gained from going to Get Active Bootcamp. She looked amazing for a 40 year old woman! 

At the time you enrolled, were you already exercising? What was your previous background in fitness?

 I was not exercising, maybe just going for a walk with the dogs around the neighbourhood but nothing like cardio or bootcamp. 

I use to swim 5 x times a week from 10 years old to 18 years old. 

When you originally signed up what was your first goal?

Go to bootcamp 3 x times a week. 

I felt like i could achieve the goal, i just wasn’t sure how i was going to achieve it with no motivation. 

Now that you lost 10kg, has your view of yourself changed?

YES! I feel so amazing about myself. I’m constantly feeling positive about life and myself. I don’t know why i hadn’t done this 12 week challenge sooner!

I feel like my future is going to be much healthier, choosing the right foods and the amount of food going into my body. My future is going to be active, moving my body every single day as it’s the best thing for your mindset and your body. 

 

What have you liked best about working with us?

 

I love that Hilde is very motivating, always telling the truth and being very RAW and HONEST. If you want to lose weight you can’t have a trainer that is only giving you feedback on what you want to hear. 

What challenges have you overcome and struggled with that kept you from progressing faster with your goals?

Being hungry was a challenge. I hate being hungry… It’s an uncomfortable feeling, but so worth it knowing your doing it for the right reason. 

Portion Sizing was a massive challenge. So one thing i have learnt is that dinner is the smallest meal of the day. You feel so much better in the morning knowing that you didn’t have a heavy pasta meal in your tummy. 

How did you overcome them?

I overcame the hunger knowing that i wasn’t really hungry it was just my mindset. My mindset was that i needed food every hour, but really i didn’t!! I looked and reflected at the bigger picture and looked at old photos of myself when i was fit and healthy and knowing i can be that person again if i don’t have that slice of cake. And i can look like that 100% again!

I overcame the portion sizing as my tummy became smaller after each week. It became easier having the smaller portions. It’s all about the mindset, telling your mind that you don’t need 300g of chicken, you only need 150g of chicken. Telling your mind is such a battle, i still struggle but you just have to look at the bigger picture and ask yourself why your doing this. 

What would you say to someone sitting on the fence about joining our program?

100% do it! It will change your life, body, and your whole mindset on your life. You will feeling amazing about yourself.

Just keep your head up after the 3 days of no sugar and if you can do that, you can do anything!!! The program is fun, Hilde said i could treat myself every now and then, so it’s not a program where it is just vegetables and chicken for lunch.. that’s horrible.

The program is very flexible and adaptable to anyone’s life.
