Why use an online personal trainer

Online Personal Trainer success stories

Did you know I’ve been an Online Personal Trainer since 2008! Yep, I know a long time. I remember when I first started out and I had to actually explain what online personal training was. It was quite a different time!

Now is a different story.

In recent years, online personal training has become increasingly popular, and for good reason. With advances in technology and the ever-growing prevalence of the internet, online personal training has become a convenient and effective way for people to achieve their fitness goals.

Today, I wanted to chat about why you might use an online personal trainer and WHAT I think is the most important reason.

First and foremost, using an online personal trainer is incredibly convenient. With traditional in-person personal training, you are limited to scheduling appointments during certain hours and potentially having to commute to a gym or fitness studio.

WORKOUT FROM ANYWHERE

With an online personal trainer, however, you can work out from anywhere at any time that suits your schedule. This means that you don’t have to sacrifice other commitments, such as work or family, in order to prioritize your fitness. I know I love nothing more than walking downstairs to my garage turned gym and working out at home.

MORE AFFORDABLE

Another benefit of online personal training is that it can be more affordable than traditional in-person personal training. In-person trainers often charge a premium for their time and expertise, as well as the cost of renting a space to train their clients.

Online personal trainers, on the other hand, can offer their services at a lower cost due to the reduced overhead. This means that you can get the same quality of training without breaking the bank.

PERSONALISED PROGRAM

Plus, with some online personal trainers you will get a personalised program, which means it’s tailored to your existing fitness levels, your current habits, your nutritional needs and is far more realistic than a generic fitness program.

Finally, online personal training can be a great option for people who are just starting out on their fitness journey. If you’re new to working out, the idea of going to a gym or working with a personal trainer in person can be intimidating. With online personal training, however, you can get started in the comfort of your own home and gradually work your way up to more challenging workouts. This can be a great way to build confidence and establish healthy habits that will serve you well in the long term.

ACCOUNTABILITY & SUPPORT

In saying all of that, what I believe to be the biggest advantage of online personal training is the ACCOUNTABILITY it provides.

Over the last 15 years as a fitness business owner, I’ve had the opportunity to have both in person fitness studios, bootcamps and my online personal training. What I can tell you is that the clients who commit to working online with me, get bigger results.

You might wonder why? It’s because each week they have to check in with their food, training and lifestyle update. They need to give me a detailed insight into what they are doing outside of their 30-60 minutes of exercise they might do each day.

I get to support, motivate and most importantly keep my online clients on track. The reality is that it is normal to have ups and downs and my goal as your trainer is to keep you going and realise, it is normal. Whereas when you’re on your own and you have a bad week, so many people feel like a failure, they stop and jump on to the next bright, shiny diet on the market.

Don’t just take my word for it, check out our success stories.

If you’re someone who has tried multiple diets, stopped and started your health and fitness journey more times than you can remember it might be time to invest in an Online Personal training.

FINAL TIP FOR CHOOSING AN ONLINE PERSONAL TRAINER

I’ll just leave you with one big tip. If you are someone who has stopped and started in the past don’t buy a program when you don’t have direct support with your trainer. Invest in yourself and ensure you have weekly feedback at a minimum and you’re not just part of a Facebook group.

As an online personal trainer I do offer both styles of programs so I have different options to suit all budgets but what I do know is that only a small percentage of dedicated people will succeed without a high levle of accountability and support. I do try and include as much support as possible in all programs but when it is a low price point I can’t afford to be checking your food diary every week and providing detailed feedback.

Be honest with yourself and if you are someone who stops and starts all the time, invest in paying for a personalised program like my 12 Week Body Transformation and get the accountability and support you need!

If you are someone who just needs a plan and is disciplined enough to follow along and keep yourself on track, check out my Midlife Makeover (there is also an option to upgrade to a higher level of accountability).

Most importantly, don’t give up. If you’ve tried online personal trainers before and it hasn’t worked. Think about WHY? And make sure you choose someone you connect with and will provide the level of support and accountability you need.

Go check out my new coaching options on my 12 Week Body Transformation, weekly calls included for those that need it and fully personalised.

Have a great week.
